PumpMac Fire Engine Monitor has both 12V and 24V system, making sure your engine electric system is matching with our engine control box, wrong voltages might damage our control box or your engine electric system. Our Fire Engine Monitor using aviation plug, making wiring connection works much easier. Build a proper mounting bracket for control box, make sure its tightly connected with engine chassis and able to hold still under the shaking of engine running. To avoid the possible matching problem from sensors of different engines, we provide a set of high quality high standard engines sensors, please replace all sensors on your engine with sensors from us. Connecting all wiring harness (Not supplied) according to our wiring diagram to female aviation plug according to PumpMac wiring diagram (at bottom).As part of EMAC, PumpMac provides abundant premium pump-driven power pack options, WPT PTO, Advance gearbox and pump head, as well as customized water pump set. 2. Engine Rated RPM Setting: the users can set through the dial switch on the J9. When dialing it to ON, it means(1)is valid; when dialing it to OFF, it means(0)is not valid.

3. Flywheel teeth setting: the users can set it through the dial switch from No.1 to No.8 on the board J12; when dialing it to ON, it means (1) is valid; When dialing it to OFF, it means (0) is not valid. flywheel teeth can be accumulated through the 8 units switch, it is valid when the position is ON.
a) No.1 means value 128;
b) No.2 means value 64;
c) No.3 means value 32;
d) No.4 means value 16;
e) No.5 means value 8;
f) No.6 means value 4;
g) No.7 means value 21;
h) No.8 means value 1;
EG: if you are going to set the teeth as 118, then you should dial like this:
No1: 0, No2: 1, NO3: 1, No4: 1, No5: 0, No6: 1, NO7: 1, No8: 0
Formula:0*118+1*64+1*32+1*16+0*8+1*4+1*2+0*1=118
Flywheel Teeth Setting
Overspeed ratio setting: the users can set it through the dial switch from No.9 to No.10 on the board J12; when dialing it to ON, it means (1) is valid; when dialing it to OFF, it means (0) is not valid. formula: overspeed protection value= rated RPM* overspeed ratio
Note: please cut off the power to control box in 10 sec when all the parameters setting finished.
1. Engine information Display Checking.
Check and confirm all gauges and light, make sure all gauges and battery charge indicator are proper functioning.
2. Automatic Overspeed Protection Testing.
PumpMac fire engine box provides a solution of 67% simulation verify testing, which if you lift and hold the bottom of 67%, the control box will simulate 67% of engine rated speed to overspeed. Then when your engine speed reach to the 67% overspeed, it will activate the self-protection function. Control box will shutdown the fuel solenoid and send out alarm signal to fire pump set controller.
Note: Remember to use “Overspeed Reset” bottom to clear out over speed alarm after you finished 67%
verify testing, otherwise the engine will not able to start up.
3. Manual Cranking Testing.
Under situation that the engine start failure with electric starting (battery low voltage), PumpMac fire engine control box can switch to manual run mode, after switched to “manual run mode”, user should use lift and hold “Crank 1” for maximum 8 second (repeat operation should be minimum have 15s gap), if engine still not started up, should use lift and hold “Crank 2” for maximum 8 second (repeat operation should be minimum have 15s gap), After “Crank 1” and “Crank 2”, if engine still not starting up, should lift and hold both “Crank 1” and “Crank 2” for maximum 8 second (repeat operation should be minimum have 15s gap). Please note that if user want to use Crank function, a digital contactor MUST installed between control box and batteries, directly connect our control box to batteries, might be damaged our control box! DON’T use manual crank function when engine running, otherwise might be damaged your engine!
(Note: In case of control box failure, signals are not able to reach to DC contactor, so the cranking function will failure. PumpMac developed our own Manual Magnetic DC Contactor, which is based on the working principle of the traditional DC contactor,and add up a set of manual mechanical components to support manual operation. Which can greatly improve the reliability of engine electric starting system.
Some users will worry about the dead battery or battery damaged situation, which the electric starting system is completely useless, PumpMac also provide Spring Starter System Solution, which able to start engine by manual cranking on the spring starter and start up engine without any electric.
