PumpMac Fire Pump Engine Control Box Introduction

PumpMac fire pump drive engine control box meeting the requirement of NFPA20 standard. PumpMac fire pump engine control box have both 12V and 24V system available, users should confirm what voltage you need when you buy this control box from PumpMac.

That integrated automatic protection function, manual operation, visual display all important information,manual cranking function, as well as overspeed verify testing function.

 Function 1: Automatic protection: PumpMac fire pump engine control box will detect engine speed, if receivedthe overspeed signal, our fire engine control box will send out signal to fuel solenoid and shut down the fuel supply.

 (Note: In some cases, shut down engine fuel system can’t ensuring 100% successful of shutting down engine, in the working environment that have flammable gas, engine might be continuously running even we cut off the fuel system.  Function 2: Manual Crank: under situation that the engine start failure with electric starting (battery low voltage), PumpMac fire engine control box can switch to manual run mode, after switched to “manual run mode”, user should use lift and hold “Crank 1” for maximum 8 second (repeat operation should be minimum have 15s gap), if engine still not started up, should use lift and hold “Crank 2” for maximum 8 second (repeat operation should be minimum have 15s gap), After “Crank 1” and “Crank 2”, if engine still not starting up, should lift and hold both“Crank 1” and “Crank 2” for maximum 8 second (repeat operation should be minimum have 15s gap). Please note that if user want to use Crank function, a digital contactor MUST installed between control box and batteries, directly connect our control box to batteries, might be damaged our control box! DON’T use manual crank function when engine running, otherwise might be damaged your engine!

 (Note: In case of control box failure, signals are not able to reach to DC contactor, so the cranking function will failure. PumpMac developed our own Manual Magnetic DC Contactor, which is based on the working principle of the traditional DC contactor，and add up a set of manual mechanical components to support manual operation. Which can greatly improve the reliability of engine electric starting system.

 Some users will worry about the dead battery or battery damaged situation, which the electric starting system is completely useless, PumpMac also provide Spring Starter System Solution, which able to start engine by manual cranking on the spring starter and start up engine without any electric.

Function 3: Key Information Display: Pumpmac fire engine control box have a series of mechanical gauges, which including “water temperature”, “oil pressure”, “ battery voltages”, “engine speed”, “running hours”, “charging status” etc.The mechanical gauges always Reliable, Clear at a glance and Accurate.

Function 4: 67% verify testing: How do you know if your engine overspeed protection function works well? In normally operation, its very difficult and dangerous to run the engine to the setting over speed, PumpMac fire engine box provides a solution of 67% simulation verify testing, which if you lift and hold the bottom of 67%, the control box will simulate 67% of engine rated speed to overspeed. Then when your engine speed reach to the 67% overspeed, it will activate the self-protection function. Control box will shut-down the fuel solenoid and send out alarm signal to fire pump set controller.

 Note: Remember to use “Overspeed Reset” bottom to clear out over speed alarm after you finished 67% verify testing, otherwise the engine will not able to start up.

 Function 5: Manual Stop: By lift and hold “Manual Stop” function, PumpMac fire pump engine control box will send out signal to solenoid, to shut down your engine.
